Central Park Engagement Photos | Christina & Chris

Today’s engagement session is much different than the engagement shoots we normally shoot. This engagement shoot happens to take place in New York City even though we are all from Los Angeles, but by a bit of luck and coincidence, we were able to make it happen.

Christina and Chris are local to the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles and once a year, they try to make a trip out to New York City to vacation and enjoy new restaurants. They traveled to New York often while they were dating so that destination was something sentimental to them. We learned all that while we were brainstorming about engagement photo locations and dates when I remembered that we were going to be out in New York for a destination wedding for one of Doug’s close friends out there. I threw the idea out to them and were fortunately able to work their schedules out with ours and were able to make their dream of having an engagement session out in New York possible!

Here are some highlight photos from the engagement session in New York City.

While waiting for our train, we were able to snap a couple of quick photos on the platform during busy hours. We used a lower shutter speed and instructed them to be as still as they could so we could capture the hustle and bustle of the New York lifestyle.

Finally made our way to the iconic Central Park in New York City. We found this talented street performer who made these large bubbles and he was obliged to help us with this photo.

The iconic Bethesda Terrace Arches as seen in many movies and TV shows.

Next to the Bethesda Terrance Stairs.

At The Mall and Literary Walk for this awesome shot.

It was great that all the stars aligned to be able to make that destination engagement session work out for our couple. Doug and I had an awesome time roaming around Manhattan with our friends and taking photos of them. The wedding we shot a couple of days after was amazing and we can’t wait to share those photos as well!
